Highly Motivated Student
Some have looked at my transcripts and assumed that school came easily to me. To some extent it did, but that just lead me to challenge myself even more. I was working full-time while going to school, but often took an overload of credits. I earned my bachelor’s degree in three years, graduating magna cum laude with honors and three minors. I refused to take a 200 level class if I could take it at the 300 level, and even managed to badger my way into a graduate class my junior year. I earned my master’s at one of the top 25 universities in the world, where I graduated with merit (B+/A-) and my dissertation earned the mark of Distinction.
But my success is not mine alone. I never would have gained the skills, knowledge, or confidence necessary to excel without the hard work of many exceptional teachers. They lit the fire of learning in my heart, a gift that I hope to pass on to my own students.
